Win this sweet signed poster!

BGMF will be at the Dead and Co. show this Saturday June 3rd - we’ll have a booth on “Participation Row” where we will be doing a drawing for a beautiful framed signed poster from the Grateful Dead/Sting shows in Las Vegas in 1993 - the poster is signed by Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Vince Welnick and Sting.

Dead poster

The poster was donated by Bob and Suzy Barsotti and we thank them for their generosity. All proceeds will go toward the care and recuperation of our friend, John Perry Barlow.

We will pull the winning ticket toward the end of the show June 3rd, and will post the winner at the booth as well as texting them in the hope that they can come and get it that night.

Can't make it to the show on Saturday June 3? If you would like to donate directly to Barlow’s Fund you can do so right here

Also we are pleased to say that BGMF will be one of the recipients of an auction of a beautiful custom hand-painted D’Angelico guitar made specifically for the Shoreline Dead and Co. Shows. We share this honor with Rainforest Action Network, Positive Legacy. The Rex Foundation and VHIP. Thanks so much to Headcount and REVERB, the groups with whom we organized our booth at the show on the 3rd!!! Here’s a link to Headcount with info and a picture of the guitar they will be auctioning

We are so excited that the Exhibit, Bill Graham and the Rock and Roll Revolution will be opening at the Illinois Holocaust Museum in Skokie, IL - right near Chicago, on Sunday July 16th 2017. The Exhibit will remain there until mid November 2017 before moving on to its next location. holocaustmuseum.org

Your donation will help us continue to give grants to other worthy small non-profit organizations as we have done for the past 23 years, and to further our mission of passing on Bill’s remarkable story.

Bill Graham Memorial Foundation in the News

Through the folks at Earthisland.org who transform street utility boxes in Berkeley and Oakland CA from those hulking gray masses to a myriad of colorful messages commemorating various events, concepts and people, there is now a Bill Graham commemorative box at 17th St. and Broadway in "Uptown Oakland" right near some of the buildings memorialized on the box. From the Oakland Coliseum, to the Henry J Kaiser Auditorium and the beautiful Paramount Theatre, many a wonderful night was had in Oakland over the years; and the Fox Theatre is also included in a nod to the present. BGMF thanks everyone at Earth Island, our own Arlene O for her direction on this project, and the wonderful local artist, Gale Madyun, who was chosen to represent the spirit of Bill Graham in this way.
