The Closing of Winterland
The Bill Graham Memorial Foundation is happy to have partnered with Live Nation and the Four Star Theatre in San Francisco for their film series connected to “Fall At the Fillmore”. BGMF is the charity recipient of the proceeds and the last film in the series, “The Closing of Winterland” will show on Monday November 25th.
Bob Barsotti, who went to work at BGP while still attending Berkeley High and managed Winterland for many years, will be hosting that evening.
We also have been given a set of 6 posters by Jarid S. Johnson, from his photo book “This Old Building, The Closing of Winterland” which we will be raffling off at the screening.
Thanks to all involved this year in “Fall in the Fillmore” – the local merchants who were part of the promotion, including Smitten, Green Apple Books, Andy Town, Tunnel Records, the Four Star Theatre and Jane the Bakery – and to Ashley Graham for all her work organizing this year.
